What is MOXI?

Moxi delivers non-ablative laser energy to correct signs of sun damage and ageing, resurfacing the skin to improve texture, fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is safe for any time of year and works on the majority of skin tones.

Moxi is a laser treatment that fits into your active lifestyle because it has little to no downtime and simple aftercare – just stay out of the sun. This next-generation laser therapy is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I-V; unfortunately, it is not suitable for type VI nor suntanned type V.

Ablative lasers remove the top layer of your skin, and have a higher degree of risk, as well as (understandably) a longer recovery period. But this is not the case with non-ablative lasers like Moxi; non-ablative lasers heat up underlying skin tissue to kickstart the body into producing more collagen.

Moxi’s non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation can improve pigmentation, the texture of your skin, the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots, and acne scars.

Depending on the level of treatment provided, most patients find the treatment tolerable. You will wear safety goggles throughout this treatment.
Results vary depending on your treatment goals.
On the day following your treatment, your skin may appear red and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots (called MENDZ) where the laser was applied. As the micro zones heal, they will darken and feel rough.
Within 3-5 days the MENDZ will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.
Because Moxi is a non-ablative laser treatment, the aftercare is simple: stay out of the sun, and wear a moisturising physical sunscreen of SPF 30+ (with the active ingredient titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, or both).
You may wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
This will depend on your treatment goals and level of skin damage.
Most patients receive 3-4 corrective treatments initially; then sign up for regular maintenance treatments throughout the year.
